BF1942
Here is a page dedicated to a hobby of mine; creating maps for the great PC game BattleField 1942. None of these maps have been tested with more than one player so please give me some feedback to tell me how they went. I hope you enjoy playing them !
to install, save the zip to a place on your pc e.g c:\bf1942maps\ then extract the files with winzip or whatever zip archiver you have into the same file e.g c:\bf1942maps\pearl.rfa then copy the map from there and place it into your bf1942 levels folder, you should notice all the other bf maps in there. the default position is:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels
Do not change the map name at all as this will screw up the level, bf wont recognise it and it wont appear in the map list when trying to create a game.
Pearl
Here is the first map I created, based on the battle in Pearl Harbour. It has co-op support which means it supports AI players. 11 meg file.
Romel
Romel is based on the final battle in the movie "Saving Private Ryan". It does not support co-op. The background music is from the movie, its called "tu es partout" and its sung by edith piaf. 13 meg file
SkyHigh
Skyhigh is a map made from imagination only. Its designed to be nothing but fun. Its still in early development so please dont be too critical :) . There wont be any screenshots pasted until its nearing finish. Please feel free to give it a whirl. I have 2 versions for download, one is the version which will, at some stage be hosted on the iinet public server, and the other is a more up to date version called Skyhighhj. 5 meg file
Littlehill
Littlehill came about after a chat with "|^AG^|Fangore", we discussed a map that had a swamp theme and focused on mainly infantry fighting. Well the finished product may vary from the original theme slightly but I think overall it should be an enjoyable map. Thanks for your ideas Fangore. Have fun. 6meg file
